A stretch of Derby Road in Sandiacre, between its junction with Stevens Road and Brooke Street, has been closed since August 22. Shopkeepers and café owners say they are being severely affected and were losing money before the road closure. Severn Trent closed the road after a burst water main.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We’d like to apologise for disruption caused by the ongoing road works affecting part of Derby Road, Sandiacre. We have completed the repair and are now focusing on getting the road surface back to normal as quickly as possible.”
