A Sandiacre couple have lost everything after their bungalow was struck
by lightning last Wednesday. Sharon
Hopkinson who was at home in Kings Road with her granddaughter said she had
seen a flash but had no idea the roof was on fire. It was only when she saw a
neighbour waving, and shouting 'get out of the house she realized something was
wrong. The roof collapsed and all their furniture was destroyed. Mrs Hopkinson
is currently staying with her daughter.
