A 26-year-old has been charged with handling stolen goods and driving
offences following an incident on Friday 8th May. Leon Austin of Ryecroft
Street, Stapleford, has been charged with handling stolen goods, dangerous
driving, and driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified. The
charges relate to an incident that happened on Nottingham Road, Stapleford, in
the early hours of Friday morning.
The car was pursued into Derbyshire before being brought to a stop. A
man was then pursued on foot by officers from both Nottinghamshire and
Derbyshire Police, and with the assistance of Nottinghamshire’s Police Dog Reno
a man was detained a short distance away. He has been remanded into custody
after appearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Saturday 9th May 2020.
