Police officers from the Sandiacre Safer Neighbourhood Team have been handing out free crime prevention goodies to people from the village. The team held a crime prevention event on Saturday afternoon, February 11th, in the car park of the library, in Doncaster Avenue, and officers were inviting people from the village to attend. As well as giving out general crime prevention advice, the team were also distributing security freebies such as ‘Don’t Bother’ car security kits and shed alarms. They were also available to property mark valuables such as power and garden tools. The team were in the library car park between 1pm and 4pm.
